The Knowledge Transfer Training at Cebu Normal University (CNU) was a five-day learning experience that brought together administrators and faculty to prepare for the upcoming implementation of the university’s Learning Management System (LMS). Designed to be both practical and reflective, the training encouraged participants to explore how the LMS can naturally fit into everyday teaching, learning, and administrative work. Through open discussions, guided demonstrations, and hands-on activities, the program helped participants see the LMS as a meaningful support to academic delivery and campus operations.

The training began with Day 1: Orientation and LMS Administration Basics, which introduced participants to user credentials, secure access, and the overall LMS interface. Faculty and administrators learned how to navigate the dashboard, manage user accounts, assign roles, and organize course categories. These sessions provided a clear understanding of how the system is structured and how it can be managed efficiently, giving participants a solid starting point for deeper engagement in the following days.
Day 2 shifted the focus to Course Creation and Learning Resources, where faculty members learned how to build courses and organize instructional materials, followed by a workshop that allowed them to apply what they had learned. On Day 3, participants explored quizzes, question banks, and basic gradebook setup, gaining practical experience in creating assessments and managing student grades. These sessions highlighted how the LMS can support structured learning and consistent evaluation across courses.
The final days centered on real-world use and readiness. Day 4 introduced reporting, monitoring, and communication tools that help track learner progress and support timely interaction between teachers and students. The training concluded with Day 5: User Acceptance Testing, where participants tested the system through actual use scenarios and shared feedback. Looking ahead, the knowledge gained from this training places CNU in a strong position to move forward with LMS implementation, supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning and reinforcing the university’s commitment to a more connected and technology-enabled academic community.
