Lancaster Technology and Development Corporation (LTDC) completed its surveillance audit for ISO 9001:2015, the international standard for quality management systems (QMS), last October 6, and successfully received the recommendation for continued certification.

ISO 9001:2015 gives organizations a globally agreed framework that helps them provide consistent products and services, improve efficiency, and fulfill customer and regulatory requirements. LTDC’s efforts to maintain its certification demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing its clients with quality solutions and services.

The whole-day surveillance audit was conducted by United Registrar of Systems (URS), an independent certification body, which assessed the conformity, effectiveness, and applicability of LTDC’s quality management system. URS also aimed to help LTDC identify areas for improvement.

“The involvement and commitment of [LTDC reflects a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement]. Whatever was discussed, LTDC was open to our findings,” URS lead auditor Roberto Nevado said.

The URS discovered no minor and major non-conformances in the management system of LTDC during its surveillance audit on October 6, 2026.
ZERO NON-CONFORMANCE: URS discovered no minor and major non-conformances in the management system of LTDC.

The surveillance audit came a year after LTDC was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification, for which URS also conducted the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits of the systems integrator. To prepare for the audit, LTDC ensured that its management system stayed consistent with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 over the last year, with the following departments and offices within LTDC required to participate during preparation and audit sessions:

  • Administration and Finance Department
  • Procurement Division
  • Project Management Office
  • Technology and Solutions Department
  • Technical Support and Services Office
  • Engineering Department
  • Top Management
  • Management Information Systems Team
  • Human Resources Department

On a scale of 1 to 5 in terms of preparedness and cooperation, Nevado gave LTDC a rating of 5 “because since morning, you were here [during the audit]. Even the top-level management joined in the afternoon. So [LTDC was] very cooperative.”

Several departments and offices within LTDC cooperated to ensure that the company’s management system aligns with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
WORKING TO PROVIDE QUALITY SOLUTIONS: Several departments and offices within LTDC cooperated to ensure that the company’s management system aligns with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Notably, the sixth edition of the quality management standard (ISO 9001:2026) was published last September 16. With LTDC’s newly earned recommendation for continued ISO 9001:2015 certification, our next goal is to ensure that our management system keeps pace with the latest requirements of the updated edition.

At LTDC, we work to provide our clients with quality ICT solutions and services. We aim to contribute to nation-building through technology and, ultimately, to take IT further.
