It Takes a Village: Teaming Up to Support Children with Education and Nourishment. This belief found a powerful expression during our 2025 year-end celebration, when we partnered with Food for Hungry Minds—an organization dedicated to transforming lives through education accompanied with healthy school meals and provision of basic school supplies. Their mission is clear: to provide high-quality elementary education to disadvantaged children, empowering them and inspiring them to succeed in life.
Capacity-building is a commitment that LTDC brings to life through meaningful partnerships—ensuring that individuals and communities are not only supported today, but empowered to thrive tomorrow. At the heart of our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts is a belief that lasting impact begins when we invest in both people and possibility.
For many of the children in the program, going to school is not as simple as showing up. They come from underserved families where even basic needs—like breakfast or a packed lunch—can be difficult to provide. Recognizing these realities, Food for Hungry Minds designed a holistic program that removes these barriers entirely. It integrates essential components such as daily meals, transportation, and school supplies—ensuring that no child is left behind and that parents no longer have to choose between education and survival.
Because the truth is simple: when a child is hungry, learning takes a back seat. No matter how eager or capable they are, it becomes difficult to focus when their attention is drawn to an empty stomach. Nutrition, therefore, is not separate from education—it is foundational to it. Proper nourishment supports cognitive development, sustains energy, and allows children to fully engage in the classroom.

Through this partnership, LTDC supported the program by providing 3,125 meals to 141 learners over nearly a month. But beyond nourishment, this initiative contributed to something deeper—restoring dignity and reinforcing the belief that every child deserves to learn, grow, and be cared for. It affirms that no child should ever feel that poverty defines their worth or limits their future.
When we visited the school following the donation, we witnessed firsthand the impact of this holistic approach. The transformation in the children was evident. Many arrive shy and hesitant, unsure of themselves and their place in the classroom. Yet within just a few months, they begin to open up—engaging more actively, building confidence, and discovering their voices.
This growth is intentional. The program integrates social-emotional learning alongside academics, helping children not only succeed in school, but also develop the confidence and independence to navigate life. As shared by parents, children who were once timid are now participating—singing, dancing, and expressing themselves freely. They begin to realize something powerful: that they are capable of more than they once believed.

Even the smallest lessons carry lasting impact. Children are taught the value of proper nutrition, learning to eat healthy foods like vegetables, while also developing independence—learning to stand on their own even without their parents by their side. These everyday experiences help shape resilience, discipline, and self-worth.
Perhaps the most moving reflection comes from the students themselves. When asked what they take with them after graduating from the program, one child shared: “Hungry Minds taught me to dream—and here, I learned that I can do something about it. I have control over my life.”
This is the true measure of impact.
For organizations like Food for Hungry Minds, partnerships are essential in sustaining this mission. Their work is a powerful reminder that change is never achieved alone—it is built through shared purpose, collective action, and a commitment to uplift others.
We are proud to support initiatives that go beyond addressing immediate needs. This partnership reflects our broader CSR vision: to invest in people, nurture potential, and help build futures grounded in dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Because when we nourish a child, we do more than feed them—we empower them to learn, to believe, and to shape their own future.
